Workplace fatalities increased significantly statewide in 2014 according to a new report released by the Utah Labor Commission.
2014 saw 54 people die as a result of an incident while on the job, which was up nearly 46 percent from 2013.
Men accounted for 89 percent of the workplace fatalities in Utah in 2014, which was the same proportion that was reported in 2013 according to a Utah Labor Commission spokesperson.
